1/2" (10 mm) Side Release Buckle

These high quality buckles have a slim profile but are much stronger than the generic half inch buckles you may find elsewhere. They can handle being tensioned down tight whereas other small buckles will snap. We use them on our backpack's top strap and sternum strap. The male side adjusts, and the female side does not.

These buckles have a wide mouth and narrow prongs so they are easier to snap together. That results in less fidgeting when clipping your sternum strap for example.

3/4" and 1" Dual Adjust Side Release Buckles

Our side release buckles are slimmer, lighter, and stronger than the competition. These are adjustable on both sides and are commonly used for backpack belt buckles.

They have a wide mouth and narrow prongs so they are easier to snap together without fidgeting.

Our backpacks use 1" webbing and buckles. Our multi-pack uses 1/2" and 3/4" buckles.

3/4" (20 mm) Center Release Flat Clip

This slim buckle works with 3/4" (20 mm) binding tape. They will break under high tension so they are best in applications where they aren't under a lot of stress. We use this to clip the neck of our sleeping bag, and on some clothing items where a protruding buckle would be in the way. The male side adjusts, and the female side does not.

1/2" and 3/4" Ladder Loc Buckles

These allow you to adjust webbing, such as for shoulder straps, top straps, load lifter straps, side straps etc. Our ladder locs have a low profile and are at least twice as strong as the run-of-the-mill variety. The 1/2" buckles can hold 60 lbs (27 kg) of weight without bending or snapping.

1/2", 3/4", and 1" Tri-Glide Buckles

Tri-glide buckles are commonly used to adjust the strap on duffle bags or laptop bags etc. We use them to make detachable sternum straps and webbing belts.

Tactical Toggle

This toggle is useful for closing tent doors or for any quick attachment points. We suggest using 3/16" nylon flat cord to sew this to your gear, and for making a loop to connect it to. The holes will fit our flat cord, or shock cord or other cord up to about 3 mm.

Mitten Hooks / Glove Hooks / Snap Hooks

These small hooks are handy for all sorts of things. We use them for attaching bathtub groundsheets to our Hexamid tents, and clipping our rain mitts together.

YKK #3 Double Pull Zipper Slider

These replacement sliders will fit the #3 zipper tape used on all Zpacks tents, sleeping bags, and accessories. They have a pull tab on both sides, so they can be accessed from the inside or outside of your gear (for example a tent doorway can be opened from inside or out).

If your zippers are not sealing correctly the usual culprit is the metal on the sides of the sliders has worn down. The metal naturally wears down over time, especially in dusty trail conditions. Luckily they are easy to replace on trail:

Cut the ends of the zipper tape so the old sliders can slide off.
Push on the new sliders with your fingertip. The sliders have grooves in the sides which must match the orientation of the zipper tape. The bumpy side of the zipper tape needs to fit in the grooves on the sliders. If the zipper has two sliders (like a tent door), make sure they zip together evenly at the center.
Tape the ends of the zipper tape so the sliders can't slide off. Our DCF repair tape works well.

Replacement Webbing - 1/2" x 30" Ribbed Polyester

This webbing is about 1/2" (12 mm) wide and can be used to replace the shoulder strap webbing, load lifters, sternum strap, top strap, or roll top straps on our backpacks. All the webbing on our backpacks is field-replaceable.

This can also be used to make yourself longer shoulder strap or sternum strap webbing if the default length isn't long enough. It also fits our multi-packs.

One end has a tab sewn on it so it doesn't slip through a 1/2" buckle, the other end is cut at a 45 degree angle. Cut it to size and singe the end with a lighter.

The webbing is ribbed to give it an extra secure hold with no slipping. Polyester has minimal stretch and better UV and abrasion resistance compared to nylon.
