PossumDown Gloves
Description:
These gloves are made from a combination of New Zealand brushtail possum
fur, and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool. New Zealand's possums are unrelated to the opossums
found in the United States. They are super cute, but they are also an invasive
species that destroy the native plant and bird life.

What's so special about possum fur? Each hair is hollow, just like Polar Bear
hair. It is incredibly warm and water resistant. Typical wool gloves may stay
warm when wet, but they take forever to dry. If you put these gloves in water, the water shakes right out
and they dry quickly. We chose Black so they are as quick drying as
possible.
These gloves are stretchy, but they run a bit small. Size Large will fit an average man's hands. Size Medium will fit typical women's hands.
They are great by themselves, or as a liner under our
Vertice Rain Mitts.

"I have been doing A LOT of research in finding a lightweight set up for the John Muir Trail I plan on hiking this summer. I havent backpacked in over 20 years until this summer. I have to get everything, Im thrilled there are so many lightweight options available. I wanted to let you know in all my research that Zpacks has a GREAT reputation, not only in customer service but in the quality of their products! Ive gotten a few items from you and plan on getting more.
I got the possum down gloves and could not believe how warm they are!" -Karen G.
"I just received these gloves and decided to test-drive them. We just had a big, wet, heavy snowfall of about 7,
and I wore these gloves to shovel the walk and clean my car off (30 degrees outside). I intentionally stuck
my hands in the wet snow as much as I could. Even though the gloves got quite wet, my hands stayed
pretty warm and the gloves did NOT get soggy like soft gloves like this usually do. Im quite impressed!
I think they will be a perfect glove for my hike on the A.T. this spring." -Heidi M.
